Working the way we know best, despite the disruption of COVID-19

9 March 2020

Even if you have been living under a rock the past 3 months, you would have heard about COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus, which is reaching all corners of the globe.

But despite the disruption we are experiencing around us, operations are more or less normal here at ClearPeople. Our normal ways of working allow us to continue running operations whilst maintaining the health and well-being of all employees.

Not only do we have a flexible working policy including the option to work from home twice a week (soon to be three times per week), we have the tools and software in place to help keep everyone across the company engaged.

Flexible working has been in place for around 8 years now. Our employees see their living room almost as a second office space - a place where they can remain engaged and as efficient as if they were working in the office. But without our tools and processes, this simply wouldn’t be possible.

For starters, we eliminated physical phones and barely touch e-mails thanks to Microsoft Teams, which allows us to instantly communicate with anyone in the company either by IM or voice/video chat. Teams is integrated with the rest of our Office 365 digital workspace to allow us to share and store files so we can gain access to relevant information at any point. This allows us to work from any device, at any place and at any time.

As a ClearPeople employees we all receive a laptop upon joining which means you aren't tied to your desk, unless you fancy carrying a big piece of metal on your commute to and from work.

All of the changes we have made over the years, allow us to stay focused and engaged as if it is just another normal day working from home.

We didn’t specifically prepare for what is now happening, we just work the way we know best!

Making Teams available for everyone
