The Importance of ISO Standards in Achieving Excellence

At ClearPeople, we believe that excellence isn't something you declare, it’s something you prove. For over a decade, we've been helping organizations unlock the full potential of their knowledge and people. Today, through our Atlas Intelligent Knowledge Platform, we’re redefining how teams connect with information, collaborate, and drive innovation. And behind every decision we make, every feature we build, and every partnership we form, there is a deep-rooted commitment to working to the highest standards.

That’s why achieving and maintaining international certifications is not just part of our operations but it’s fundamental to our identity.

We are proud to have earned and retained certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and most recently, ISO 42001 — the first global standard for managing artificial intelligence responsibly. We are also working on our Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, underscoring our commitment to cybersecurity.

Together, these certifications reflect who we are: a company that puts quality, security, sustainability, and responsible innovation at the heart of everything we do.

Setting the Standard in Responsible AI with ISO/IEC 42001

Our most recent certification (ISO/IEC 42001) is particularly significant, not only for us but for the industry at large. As the first international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS), ISO/IEC 42001 establishes a comprehensive framework for organizations to manage AI in a structured, safe, ethical, and accountable way.

We pursued this certification not because we had to, but because we believe the future of technology depends on how responsibly we approach AI today.

At ClearPeople, we are proud to be early adopters and pioneers in the AI space. As the capabilities of AI continue to evolve, so do the expectations and responsibilities that come with using it. For us, implementing ISO/IEC 42001 is about far more than compliance, it’s about leadership. It ensures we are applying best practices across the full lifecycle of AI development and deployment, from governance and risk management to transparency and human oversight.

As AI becomes a foundational component of the Atlas Intelligent Knowledge Platform, ISO/IEC 42001 provides our clients and partners with confidence that AI is being managed in a way that is not only powerful and effective but also ethical and safe. It formalises our approach to building AI systems that are aligned with human values and organisational goals, ensuring we stay ahead of regulatory developments and societal expectations alike.

Excellence in Every Dimension with ISO/IEC 42001, 9001,14001 & 27001

While ISO/IEC 42001 positions us as a leader in responsible AI, it sits alongside other key certifications that demonstrate our holistic commitment to excellence.

ISO 9001, the global benchmark for quality management, ensures that every process in our business is driven by customer focus, performance improvement, and operational consistency. It’s about delivering quality, not once, but every time, and continuously improving how we work.

ISO 14001 shows that we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. This certification demonstrates that we have an effective environmental management system in place, allowing us to measure and reduce our environmental impact across all business activities. Sustainability is not a side initiative for us but it's a key pillar of how we operate and grow.

In an age of growing cyber threats and data breaches, ISO 27001 provides assurance that information security is deeply embedded in our DNA. It covers not just the technical safeguards we use, but also the policies, training, and risk assessments that keep our business and our clients' data secure. Whether it's proprietary information within Atlas or sensitive operational data, we apply a security-first mindset to everything we do.

And to build on that foundation, we are now in the final stages of achieving Cyber Essentials Plus, a UK government-backed certification that involves rigorous, independent testing of our cybersecurity practices. While ISO 27001 provides a broad strategic framework for information security, Cyber Essentials Plus gives additional validation — showing that our systems are secure against the most common and impactful cyber threats.

A Culture of Accountability and Innovation

What ties all this together is a culture, one built on accountability, transparency, and innovation.
Our certifications are not just badges on a website; they are reflections of how we think, how we work, and how we lead. Each one represents a deliberate decision to invest in doing things the right way. They require time, effort, and continuous scrutiny. And we embrace that, because we believe our customers deserve to work with a partner who takes their trust seriously.

As we continue to expand the capabilities of the Atlas Intelligent Knowledge Platform, we do so with a clear vision: to enable people to work smarter by providing access to knowledge in intelligent, secure, and meaningful ways. AI is part of that vision, but so is the promise to deliver it safely, transparently, and with purpose.

With every standard we meet, we raise the bar for ourselves and for the industry.
