Our team has been working with the Microsoft Office 365 team since early 2015 and have been part of the early adoption cycles along with pilot clients. We are now building solutions delivering matter management and document collaboration in Office 365 often under the headline of Modern Workspace, Digital Workplace or as we call it, the Digital Workspace.

The Digital Workspace is more than an intranet or an information portal. To really take advantage of the technology around us and of the “second nature tech” skills that our younger colleagues bring to the table when they join the workforce, we need to think beyond our traditional frame of mind, locked into patterns of habits and outdated learning.
This is where matter management expertise for Office 365 fits in. While it focuses on matter centric management of data, it is not an approach which is intended to compete with incumbent or traditional solutions for document management. It offers a foundation on which to build truly collaborative Document Collaboration solutions.
What does ClearPeople's Matter Management approach look like?
Our matter management approach allows legal teams (and others) to manage all the organisations' clients and related matters. It is an intuitive solution which is easy to use and can be administered by all team members who have been assigned permissions to do so. You can quickly create new clients and matters without asking for your IT colleagues' help; assigning relevant metadata, workflows and permissions all within a few simple steps. All content and data that is held within the site is encrypted and cannot be accessed without the consent of the site administrators. Content can be viewed and shared with wider audiences within the organisation, only if permission is given by the site administrators.
