With the heart of a research analyst, mind of a computer scientist, and the soul of an entrepreneur, Manoj aligns technology solutions to business strategy. He has presented at several Kentico conferences and runs the Kentico online marketing community on LinkedIn. He has also been involved in helping Kentico with their content marketing strategy. Manoj has over 15 years of experience in the marketing technology field, his background comes from having worked for a market research agency (Taylor Nelson) and founding a digital agency and a start-up in the food delivery business from the ground up. Manoj joins ClearPeople as a Digital Technology Consultant.

 

Hi Manoj, good morning, how are you?

I’m great, thanks! Currently I’m working on a blog “The Evolution of Digital Engagement” which gives an overview of the changes in the marketing technology landscape. I’ve also been involved in some exciting new business projects which has been really interesting.  

How has your first few weeks been here so far?

I’ve been working at ClearPeople for over a month now, having started on 10th October. The first week was really good and well organised. I got to meet everyone during a good induction process. Moreover, we had an office party and there was table tennis, so it was the perfect time to join ClearPeople!

Can you tell me about your role here?

I am a Digital Technology Consultant. My experience lies with content management in particular. One of my responsibilities is to find out how I can help clients using a CMS or other solutions, focusing on the engagement side. The other area I try to push is the availability to work with big data – with particular emphasis on the Microsoft technology stack.

How long have you been in this industry? 

Over 20 years – I founded my own digital agency in 2004. I was the CTO and then sold my share and made them a Kentico Gold partner. After that I helped with the start-up of Need4Feed, which is a similar concept to Deliveroo.

What do you love most about your job?

I’m passionate about business transformation, people using technology to make positive change in their organisation. Also, I like to see results. ROI is always front of mind for any projects I am working on.

If you could offer only one piece of advice to all of your clients, what would it be?

I would say: Look at the big picture, how am I part of the overall picture?

What is your philosophy towards your work?

Work hard, play hard.

If you had only three words to describe yourself, what would it be?  

Proactive, resourceful and collaborative.

If you could sing one song on X Factor, what would it be?

I’m not a good singer so I would choose “Old MacDonald had a Farm”.

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?

I would be a leopard – they are quite difficult to spot, and they are cute also.

Have you played any team sports before?

I’ve played a lot of team sports: volleyball, hockey, football, but my main sport is table tennis. I play in the Guildford Table Tennis League and I am on the 3rd rank (won 44 games out of 50!)
