Shortlist for the UK Cloud Awards 2016 announced

The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) and Cloud Pro have announced the shortlist for the UK Cloud Awards 2016, having narrowed down the hundreds of entries to a select few. And ClearPeople have been shortlisted in two categories - Digital Transformation Project, for the work they did with the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and Best Cloud Channel Partner.

The awards, first launched in 2014, showcase and celebrate the leading Cloud suppliers, technologies and projects in the UK. The ceremony, which is being sponsored by Microsoft, ScienceLogic, Cisco and Spreckley, will reward the best in the industry as chosen by a panel of expert judges. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Skylon in London on 12th April 2016.

Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF, said: “The UK Cloud Awards have significantly accelerated since they were first established and it is clear that the UK is now a hub of Cloud innovation. Whittling the entries down to a shortlist has been very challenging for our esteemed judges, which I think speaks volumes about the depth and maturity of the Cloud industry in the UK. Making the shortlist is an achievement in its own right and I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone that has made the cut best of luck at the ceremony.”

Max Cooter, founding editor of Cloud Pro and head judge for the UK Cloud Awards, added: "When the UK Cloud Awards first started, the technology was in its infancy and many companies had failed to recognise the impact that cloud would have on the market. That's no longer the case: this year's awards have emphasised the way that cloud has transformed the business landscape. The projects are no longer single, speculative forays but are part of a wholesale transformation, while the products are increasingly sophisticated. There was a richness to this year's awards that we haven't seen in previous years and all the companies on the shortlist should be congratulated."
