The Autism Education Trust launch their new Website
March 27, 2009
In February 2009 Autism Education Trust (AET) launched its first stand alone website:
www.autismeducationtrust.org.uk
Previously, the AET’s web presence was in the form of a microsite, hosted via the National Autism Society’s (NAS) main site. As demand for information about the AET’s work and the parliamentary launch of the trust grew, there became a need for a more sophisticated, stand alone, content managed website.
Historically, ClearPeople have successfully implemented the NAS website and so were the obvious choice to develop the AET’s new website.
Key features of the site include a unique ‘Kids Zone’ area which hosts video clips, interactive games online activities and top tips and facts for children suffering with Autism.
The site also boasts a forum which is made up of regional forums, providing parents and carers with an online mechanism for a local support network.
The site was built using Sitecore Content Management System (CMS) and the AET now have complete control to change and edit the site whenever they want.
