ClearPeople are looking for a part-time Assistant Accountant who is a self-starter and able to work on without much supervision. At the same time, you will also need to be a team player since you will be the conduit between our internal team and our accountants based both in the UK and Spain. This position will require someone who is a good communicator, very organised and has a good eye for detail. Roles and Responsibilities

You will have sole authority for the duties stated below:

  • Work with our Professional and Managed Services teams to ensure everything is invoiced in full
  • Posting all sales invoices into QuickBooks
  • Raise and post credit notes
  • Credit control
  • Collect and validate all purchase invoices
  • Setup supplier payments
  • Forex purchase and interbank transfers
  • Payroll amendments and validation, collation and submission to external payroll providers and validation of the reports
  • Collect and validate employee expenses as well as company credit cards expenses
  • Petty cash management
  • Assisting with ad hoc requests from the team
  • Other duties, as and when required

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping or similar experience
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with Quickbooks or Sage
  • Must be conversant in accounting systems and Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word).  Good Excel skills are expected.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles

  • Self-discipline, good prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Responsible and diligent approach to duties
