ClearPeople's SharePoint Event on 6th November was a Huge Success

As a passionate advocate of SharePoint, ClearPeople was pleased to host an event entitled ‘Business Productivity with SharePoint 2007, 2010 & Beyond’, at the Microsoft headquarters in Victoria, London, on 6th November 2009.
The event was an overwhelming success and despite being over-subscribed, there were even some last minute sign-ups at the venue. The event provided attendees with a wealth of information, covering email and document management, business productivity add-ons for SharePoint and an overview of SharePoint 2010’s functionality. |

Gabriel Karawani began the morning by covering the capabilities of WISDOM DMF, SharePoint’s foremost document management add-on, followed by a preview and demo of the latest ClearPeople designed desktop add-ons.

After a short networking break, ClearPeople was pleased to welcome Paul Suttle, Project Manager from Ofcom, who discussed the organisation’s implementation of WISDOM DMF in SharePoint. He provided a relevant and objective opinion of their SharePoint document management solution, in his energetic presentation. Following Paul, Gabriel presented the much anticipated highlights of the Las Vegas SharePoint Conference, and discussed the latest news |
for SharePoint 2010. Due to the magnitude of information on SharePoint 2010, Gabriel was forced to cherry-pick his content and limited the discussion to the key points on scalability, ECM/DM, WCM and Search.
ClearPeople was also pleased to be joined by Microsoft’s UK SharePoint Product Manager, Steve Marsh, who presented a great overview of the evolution of SharePoint, even referencing the original slide that was presented to Bill Gates which was the spring board for SharePoint development. The morning concluded with a question and answer session followed by a networking lunch. |
