Further features of WISDOM Document Management Framework

WISDOM DMF extends Word, Excel and PowerPoint (2002, 2003 and 2007) with ‘Open from SharePoint’ and ‘Save to SharePoint’ commands. Users can right-click in any Windows Explorer folder to upload PDFs and other files to SharePoint. WISDOM DMF also enhances searching in SharePoint by consistently capturing meta-data. WISDOM can retrieve meta-data choices from existing databases via the MOSS 2007 Business Data Catalog.

Organisations looking to use SharePoint to manage documents and messages related to their Clients and Projects will benefit from the WISDOM Auto Library Templates pack. This optional WISDOM DMF component facilitates the creation of sites and libraries that feature automatic meta-data.

Technical Requirements

User PCs:	WISDOMdmf.dll – licenced from MacroView; Microsoft Office 2000 or later (Outlook 2002 or later); Microsoft Internet Explorer 6; Microsoft XML 4.0; Microsoft SOAP 3.0.
Server:	MacroView DMF web service – licenced from MacroView; Windows 2003 Server with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 or SharePoint Portal Server 2003 or Windows SharePoint Services (v2 or v3).
Database:	Microsoft SQL Server must be installed on or be accessible to SharePoint server. Windows MSDE and SQL Server 2005 Express Edition can also be used.
