WISDOM Message - making Microsoft SharePoint a viable alternative
to Exchange Public Folders as an email message store.

Microsoft SharePoint appeals as a way of managing and sharing Microsoft Outlook email messages. WISDOM Message enhances the integration of Outlook with SharePoint, so that SharePoint becomes an attractive means for managing your Outlook messages.

WISDOM Message lets you drag and drop in Outlook to save messages to your favourite libraries and folders in SharePoint. You can save one or multiple messages – WISDOM will ensure that they are named uniquely (so that you avoid storing duplicate copies of messages in SharePoint).

WISDOM will automatically record meta-data relating to message attributes (such as To, From, SentOn, etc) and will prompt immediately for any other meta-data columns that are present in the library where the message is being saved. This enables flexible and successful searching for email messages in SharePoint.

WISDOM Message has great handling of message attachments. As messages are saved to SharePoint, WISDOM Message ensures that any attachments are preserved. For outgoing messages, you can select one of more files to attach (or insert as links) from a tree-view of your SharePoint environment.

The combination of WISDOM Message and Microsoft SharePoint 2007 enables the creation of highly effective email recording and email retention solutions. Such solutions are already deployed in a number of large organisations.
